In this advanced drawing class designed especially for older kids, we’ll explore the exciting world of Anime! Artists will fine-tune their drawing skills as they master techniques and draw popular characters like Egg Gudetama (Lazy Egg Yolk), Totoro, and more! We’ll even paint our own anime-style self-portraits on real canvas boards. This class is perfect for anyone who wants to fine-tune their drawing skills. Please pack a nut free snack.

Come learn creative new ways to use your sourdough starter! In this hands-on class, we’ll explore a variety of recipes that go beyond the basic loaf. You’ll learn how to mix, bake, and master a few fun tricks to make each creation a success. It’s recommended (but not required!) to take our Beginners Sourdough Class before joining an advanced session. BE PREPARED IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY! One class offers you basic skills in three important subject areas: *First Aid*CPR (infant, child, and adult)*AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Class is great for child care providers as well as any member of the general public who wants to "be prepared." A certified American Red Cross instructor will guide you in skills practice. Come dressed in comfortable clothing. We will be kneeling on the floor to do skills practice with mannequins. Please bring a pen/pencil and notebook to take notes. You will receive a certification card after completing the class. *Certification class: For first-time students or for those whose certification course was more than 2 years ago. *Recertification class: For students who have been previously certified with the past 2 years.

Learn the Sport of BMX Bike Racing! Rum River BMX is the #1 indoor facility in the country. Unlike traditional sports, in BMX, no one sits on the bench! BMX riding is a great way for kids and adults to stay active, build confidence, develop important life skills, connect with others, and have fun. This session will cover BMX fundamentals including “What is BMX racing?” racing bike types, BMX terminology, and BMX safety. Also, the most important lesson, how to RIDE LIKE THE WIND! Students will receive hands-on riding instructions and will practice their new skills on the BMX track. This course is designed for new riders (novice) who are interested in the sport. If you can pedal your bike without training wheels, you can take part in this class. No special bikes are required, if it has wheels, a few adjustments and we will make it work for this class (your bike will need to have the reflectors, kickstand, chain guard, and pegs removed). If you do not have a bike, we have a fleet of HARO race bikes available at the track for use on a first come, first served basis. A full-face helmet is recommended, as helmets are required. You must wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and close-toed shoes. Check-in is from 5:30 to 6:00pm and class is from 6:00 to 7:45pm.

In this class, Sara will show you how to: score and bake a fresh loaf, how to measure and mix your own loaf, and how to care for a sourdough starter. You will take home a loaf of fresh baked organic sourdough, a loaf for you to finish fermenting and then bake at home, and your very own organic sourdough starter.
