Early Childhood ScreeningOur August Early Childhood Screening appointments are currently full. Appointments for children who are not kindergarten-eligible for the 2026–2027 school year will begin in September. Those appointment dates will be available for registration soon, so please watch our page for updates. If your child is kindergarten-eligible for the 2026–2027 school year and still needs an Early Childhood Screening, don't worry! We will be offering additional screening appointments at Princeton Primary School during the first couple of weeks of the school year. If you have any questions, please contact the Early Childhood office. We are happy to help! WHAT IS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD SCREENING? The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Early Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help before they start kindergarten. Screening is required before kindergarten and recommended at 3.5 years old. Does my child need an Early Childhood Screening? YES - In order for your child to start kindergarten in any Minnesota public school, you will need to provide your child's Early Childhood Screening Summary Form and Immunization record. Is there a charge? No, Early Childhood Screening is FREE What will happen at the screening? At your child's screening, a trained professional will check the following: Vision Hearing Height/Weight Immunization status Thinking, language and communication skills, large and small motor skills Social & emotional development Screenings are held at Princeton Family Center - 706 1st St, Princeton, MN 55371Category -

Tiger ClubTiger Club is a Preschool and School Age Program that offers creative, safe, and engaging fun before and after school and during the summer months. Showing "Tiger Pride" is our goal. We work to offer a variety of well supervised, nurturing activities that work with the whole child and helping them as they grow. Program activities include health and wellness, arts and crafts, technology play and learning, building relationships and friendships, and developing social skills. We understand that finding quality, reliable childcare can be a challenge. That’s why Tiger Club makes childcare easy for Princeton families—with dependable care you can count on before and after school, on non-school days, and all summer long. We offer consistent and pick your days/drop-in schedules to meet your flexibility. School Age Care Program Before and after school care is offered for children grades K-5. We are also open on most non-school days. Activities include: arts & crafts, reading fun, math games, gym time, computer lab or iPad time, outdoor activities, as well as guest speakers, field trips, and more! An after school snack is included. Location: Primary School for Grades K-5 Hours: 6am until school begins and after school until 6pm Monday - Friday on school days and some non-school days. Preschool Program Tiger Club is proud to offer a companion child care program to our Hand in Hand Preschool schedule. Children entering our Summer Tiger Club program do NOT need to be enrolled in a Hand in Hand Preschool class, but priority enrollment is given to those who are. Children entering our School Year Tiger Club program DO need to be enrolled in a Hand in Hand Preschool class. All preschoolers attending Preschool Tiger Club must be 3 years old, toilet trained, and self-sufficient in the bathroom. We are proud to say that Tiger Club is a Parent Aware 4 Star Program, and we work with the Hand in Hand staff to further enrich your child’s experience at preschool. School year information: Location: Family Center, 706 First Street, Princeton, MN Hours: 6:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday on school days and some non-school days Note that the 2026-27 First Day of Preschool will be on Sept 8.
