Please sign up for this spot if you would like your child screening during the school-day. Early Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help before they start kindergarten. YES - In order for your child to start kindergarten in any Minnesota public school, you will need to provide your child's Early Childhood Screening Summary Form and Immunization record. Is there a charge? No, Early Childhood Screening is FREE What will happen at the screening? At your child's screening, a trained professional will check the following: Vision Hearing Height/Weight Immunization status Thinking, language and communication skills, large and small motor skills Social & emotional development Plan on arriving 5 - 10 minutes before you screening appointment. Join us for a fun evening designed for families with children ages one through kindergarten! Families are welcome to bring dinner and eat together in our lunchroom from 5:00–5:20 p.m. After dinner, we will enjoy movement and active play in the gym or on the small playground, depending on the teacher’s plan and the weather. Around 5:40 p.m., we will move into the classroom, where children can explore and play while parents connect with other families. This will be a welcoming space to share the joys, challenges, questions, and celebrations that come with parenting. The class begins October 1 and meets from 5:00–6:30 p.m.

By the end of the session, you won’t just know what a cell looks like; you’ll know exactly how it’s built and what makes it "tick."

This Culinary STEM class is designed for kids to learn some Biology/Chemistry concepts and cooking techniques. We will be making two edible crafts: Edible DNA and Autumn Embers Popcorn. Let's have some fun while we cook, eat, and learn about DNA, Genetics, and Popcorn Chemistry. This is a three-hour course. Lunch will be provided by the instructor.

In this class, students will make a colorful holiday tree completely out of fringe! Using multiple materials, kids will create different colored fringes, and the adorable ornaments (pom-poms) and sparkling star tree topper. This can also be used as your very own tree topper! Please pack a nut-free snack and drink for your child.

Come have lots of fun with your toddler in this ECFE class for one and two year olds! We will provide lots of movement activities to keep your active toddler busy! Families will stay together for the entire period; playing and exploring together for the first half of class, then while the children continue to socialize with their new friends, the parents/ caregivers will have an engaging parent discussion time for the second half of class with their teacher. Participating teams of two will learn essential building techniques for designing and assembling a sturdy gingerbread structure, including planning a layout, using icing as “mortar,” creating strong walls and roofs, and decorating with various edible items and candies. Being stung can really stick with us and lead our expectations of bees and wasps. Understanding why the bad insects act the way they do can bring more of the story to our bites and stings. It may even prevent the next unfortunate encounter. One of the best things about bugs is that most play important roles in our environment.
