BE PREPARED IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY! One class offers you basic skills in three important subject areas: *First Aid*CPR (infant, child, and adult)*AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Class is great for child care providers as well as any member of the general public who wants to "be prepared." A certified American Red Cross instructor will guide you in skills practice. Come dressed in comfortable clothing. We will be kneeling on the floor to do skills practice with mannequins. Please bring a pen/pencil and notebook to take notes. You will receive a certification card after completing the class. *Certification class: For first-time students or for those whose certification course was more than 2 years ago. *Recertification class: For students who have been previously certified with the past 2 years.

Participants will learn about clay and explore how to create fun and functional art using hand-building techniques. There will be two sessions-one for making up to 10 items, and the second session will be for glazing and assembly of projects. Section 1: students attend October 5th to craft their items. Items need to dry. Then participants return on Oct. 12th to glaze and assemble their items. Instructor will then fire the items and they will be ready for pick-up after Oct. 19th by appointment. Section 2: students attend November 9th to craft their items. Items need to dry. Then participants return on November 16th to glaze and assemble their items. Participating teams of two will learn essential building techniques for designing and assembling a sturdy gingerbread structure, including planning a layout, using icing as “mortar,” creating strong walls and roofs, and decorating with various edible items and candies. By the end, each team will have built a unique gingerbread creation to proudly display and enjoy.Note: Only one team member needs to register. You will learn some common techniques used to decorate sugar cookies using royal icing. At the end of class, you will have 6 beautiful cookies to take home! All materials needed will be provided. Ruff Start Rescue invites you to join us for a fun and creative hands-on workshop decorating paw print and bone-shaped cement pavers! Participants will paint and personalize their own pavers with fun colors, designs, pet names, and creative touches to make a unique keepsake to take home at the end of the class. Whether you create a garden decoration, memorial piece, or something special for your furry family members, this workshop is a great way to show your love for animals while getting creative.
