Walking in the schools is back! Come and enjoy time inside on those blustery winter days or rainy spring days. Get your miles in during our scheduled walking times at Princeton High School or Princeton Middle School. Open to all ages and abilities. Please be courteous of others in the building and custodians who are working. Participants must register and pick up their pass from the Princeton Community Ed office between the hours of 8am-3:30pm, M-F. The office is located at 706 1st Street, Princeton, MN 55371. Park in the lot off of 1st Street and enter door 1. School maps will also be available at pickup. Walking is not available on weekends or on 11/27-11/29, 12/24-12/25, 12/31-1/1, 1/20, 2/17. Each dance is introduced, demonstrated, and practiced at an easy‑to‑follow pace—no partner or prior experience needed. This energetic class—set to country, pop, and R&B—teaches both popular and classic dances you can enjoy throughout your life. We’ll dance to all types of music and explore a variety of rhythms to keep things fresh and fun. Our patient instructor breaks everything down with clear steps, an easygoing pace, and just the right amount of review. You’ll build confidence, grow your skills, and have a great time learning to line dance with a wonderful group. Each class includes a combination of absolute beginner and beginner line dances.

A live polka band is coming to the Rum River Festival on June 5, so come learn the basics and be ready to kick up your heels! Polka music is bright, upbeat, and irresistibly cheerful—built on lively accordion melodies, steady drum rhythms, and a joyful bounce that makes you want to move. In this one‑night introductory class, you’ll learn how to polka with or without a partner, plus fun variations like the polka hop, the circle dance, and the progressive polka line. Everything is taught in a clear, easy‑to‑follow way, making it perfect for first‑timers or anyone wanting a quick refresher before the festival. Come enjoy a lively night of dancing and leave ready to jump right in when the band starts playing! Class will meet in the Intermediate School Gym - this is a change from the printed catalog location.
