  • Summer Tutoring: Gr. K-12

    Tutoring offers personalized academic support in Math and/or Reading to help students succeed. Students are encouraged to bring prior school year assignments to help define the area(s) where improvement is needed. Choose the option below that best meets your student’s needs. One registration is good for the selected 4-session or 10-session package. If your student needs additional sessions, please register again to continue your tutoring. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR RESCHEDULING FOR NO SHOWS FOR TUTORING APPOINTMENTS. Princeton-Based Tutors You will get four 45-minute sessions 1:1 with your tutor. After registration you will receive your tutor’s contact information and one 30-minute consultation with your tutor to discuss your student's needs. Together, you will select the dates/times for the 4 sessions, and choose if you want them in person at Princeton High School or virtual. Available to all grades (K-12), but recommended for students who are mature enough to manage Zoom. After registration you will be contacted by Learning Center Tutors, receive one 30-minute consultation with your tutor to discuss your student’s needs, and then together you can select the dates/times for your sessions.   • Middle School Early Risers: Gr. 6-8

    What is the Early Risers Program? The Princeton Middle School Early Risers Program provides supervised structured time from 7:00-8:15am for students needing a positive head start to their day. Students attending Early Risers will be provided an opportunity to eat breakfast, work on school assignments, read, organize and plan their daily schedule, or exercise/move prior to their school day. Who Would Benefit from the Early Risers Program? Students may need additional time before school for a variety of reasons. Our goal is to support those seeking a quiet work space in the morning with dependable school Wi-Fi as well as those affected by the tiered busing/varied start times in the Princeton School District.
  • You & Me Cake Decorating: Age 5+ with Adult

    Get creative as you and your child learn the sweet art of cake decorating together! In this fun hands-on class, you’ll receive a 6" two-layer cake, and learn decorating techniques to make your cake sweet perfection. This class is great for any special grown-up and their little baker. If you would like a second cake so you don't have to share, select that choice during registration for an additional $20. Register your child, then at the end of registration you will have an opportunity to add the information for who is the adult accompanying them.
  • Backyard Bird Feeders: Gr. K-5

    Create an easy craft roll bird feeder that you can hang on a tree branch and watch birds in your own backyard! *Note peanut butter will be used in this course.
  • Horse Day Camp: Ages 6-15

    Kids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! Drop off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn ● No flip flops ● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch ● Treats for the horses if you want ● Helmets are provided WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena.   • My Little Horse Camp: Ages 2-5

    Campers will get to ride a real horse in an arena, meet a number of different horses at Boulder Pointe, and learn how to groom the horses . . . all with a focus on safety! In addition, students will do an art project and have an opportunity to make horse treats to feed their new friends. Stations are split into 15-minute intervals to keep everyone engaged. Parents have the opportunity to lead their child on the horse and take photographs as they go. PARENT/GUARDIAN: This 2-hour camp is designed for parent/guardian participation. Parent/Guardian is expected to remain with their child during the entire duration of the camp. WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine as we have an indoor barn and arena.   • Lunch Bunch Supervision

    Taking both a morning and afternoon course at the High School this summer? Stick around for Lunch Bunch! Students can enjoy their lunch and relax in the high school lobby with supervised care between classes. Activities such as coloring and games are provided if students wish. Community Ed staff will get students to their afternoon courses as needed. Just pack a lunch and we’ll take care of the rest. Note: For student safety, students are not allowed to be on campus unattended. If students are unable to be picked up right away from morning camp and need to stay on-site until their afternoon camp, enrollment in Lunch Bunch is required. Pre-registration is required for each day of attendance. During registration, please note what day you are enrolling for and what the student's morning and afternoon camps are.
  • #Adulting: Basic Employment Skills: Gr. 9-12 Sponsored by Pizza Barn & Crystal Cabinets

    This class gives teens the must-know basics for getting (and keeping) a job. Learn the best practices of job seeking and what employers expect of you. Participants will also gain valuable real-world perspectives from local business professionals. Taught by Adam Westrum, Princeton High School Business Teacher, with special guests from Crystal Cabinets' HR Department, Pizza Barn, and others.
  • Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS): Age 11+

    The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from the American Safety and Health Institute provides everything you need to know for safe and successful babysitting. At the end of class, the students will receive their certification card along with instructions to access a digital copy of the Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Student book. From getting started with your business to collaborating with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips, CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete achievement of the core learning objectives to receive certification valid for two years. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen.
  • Home Alone: Age 8+

    Is your child ready for the independence of being home alone? Parents need to be sure their children have the skills and maturity to handle the responsibility safely. Whether it is for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, being trusted to be home alone can be a positive experience for a child who is mature and well prepared. This class for children will address several topics relating to being "Home Alone" including age guidelines, safe habits, house rules, after school routines, phone calls, door knocks, dog emergencies, personal safety, handling the unexpected, gun safety, severe weather, fire safety, intruders, and first aid tips. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen. Parents are encouraged to review the take home information and discuss it with their child.
  • DIY Doughnut Crafts: Gr. K-5

    Students will roll up their sleeves for a fun-filled session making colorful doughnut-themed crafts and, of course, enjoying tasty doughnut holes! This playful class blends creativity and a little treat-time to make the day extra sweet. Location change from printed catalog - class will be held at Princeton High School Room 165 Please note: we will be eating doughnut holes and cannot guarantee these will be allergy free.

    Pizza Making with Pizza Barn: Gr. 3-5

    Learn the fine art of making a pizza from Pizza Barn, which was voted one of the top five pizza places in the State of Minnesota! It is all about using your own recipes from start to finish. We will guide you through the process of making our pizza dough from scratch and all the different sauces that can go on a pizza. You will learn that everything can be a potential pizza topping and how the cheese can make or break your pizza. Every participant will get a full tour of the Pizza Barn kitchen, a Pizza Barn t-shirt, a dry mix of our house pizza dough, a cup of pizza sauce, and all the skills needed to make a quality pizza right at home. After 43 years in the Princeton Community, we will let you in on a few of our tips, tricks and secrets!
  • Stitch and Create: Introduction to Sewing: Age 7+

    This beginner-friendly sewing class introduces students to fundamental sewing techniques through hands-on, project-based learning. Students will complete several engaging projects designed to progressively build their skills and confidence. All sewing materials, notions, and machines are provided. Students will take home each completed project: Tote bag, PJ bottoms, and a drawstring backpack.
  • Tila Bracelets: Gr. 5-12

    Stackable bracelets with popular Tila beads is a fun and trendy project. The flat, square shape of Tila beads makes for easy assembly and cute stacking options. Select from a variety of colors and patterns. Three bracelets are included in this camp.
  • Colorful Mosaic Tray: Gr. 5-Adult (Gr. K-4 w/Adult)

    Use a variety of bright, tiny tiles in different shapes and sizes to achieve a personalized look. Follow designs or create your own! The final result is a cute tray for jewelry and trinkets. This is a great class for families with younger kids to take together. You will share one set of supplies to create 1 tray. If doing so, be sure to select the Adult + Child option and enter child's name and grade. Students 5th grade or older do not need to have an adult attend with them.

  • Drama Camp: Gr. 1-9

    Princeton’s Drama Camp is pleased to announce Moana Jr. as this summer’s workshop production. Our Camp Coordinator (Hannah Jenson) and the instructional staff (Justin Boneasera, Gracie Imholte, Alex Frantesl, and Emily Lubenow), are excited to bring this fun Disney story to the Performing Arts Center! Drama Camp is an excellent opportunity for students to create a sophisticated piece of art, collaborate with kids of all ages, work on self-confidence and teamwork, and getting outside of our comfort zones! Camp will feature lessons designed to introduce students to a wide range of theatrical skills like performance, design, direction, writing, and technical theatre through the lens of the show. All of this is done by employing student-driven, project-based learning through an immersive curriculum intended to challenge students academically and artistically. Drama Camp is organized into an all-day, two-week experience for students entering grades 4-9. Younger students (entering gr. 1-3) join for the mornings during the second week. The final morning, camp starts at 10:30am and runs until the show that night at 6:00pm. Students should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes with socks daily. Participants are expected to bring a bag lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, as well as a water bottle. Dinner (pizza) is provided prior to the final performance. Performance camp t-shirt (provided), blue jeans, and tennis shoes that preferably do not light up should be worn for the Friday performance. Please note: this class cannot be refunded or credited after registration.
  • Robotic Builders: Gr. 1-5

    Join Tech Academy instructors as we learn about robotics! With the LEGO® robotics system, young children can build and program their robotic creations. Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches children about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Young imaginations soar! The LEGO® Education Robotics Builder class allows students to explore different concepts in robotics. Possible models may include dancing birds, a hungry alligator robot, goal kicker robot, a rescue plane, and a smart spinner robot. Students will be working in pairs. Please bring snack and a drink.
  • Extreme Robotics: Battle Bots: Gr. 3-8

    This camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO® building system's versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO®). Working in teams, students will construct fun LEGO® models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day's activities. The final challenge will be a sumo battle. Please bring snack and a drink.
  • Sew Fun Fashion Camp: Age 7+

    This intermediate sewing class is for students who have completed an intro sewing course or already have basic sewing experience. Students will build on foundational skills while creating fashion-focused projects, learning new techniques, and gaining confidence as they design and sew wearable items. Class will end in a fashion show in the final 30 minutes of class!
  • Paper Crafting Workshop: Ages 8-Adult

    Create greeting cards, bookmarks, and scrapbook pages with a variety of papers and fibers. Participants will watch demonstrations and create up to 10 items using materials provided. Course is held at Carmen's Clayground 13537 309th Ave NW, Princeton, MN
  • Pioneer School: Gr. K-6

    Thrill your children and travel back in time to experience real learning as it would have been taught (without electronics!) in the 1880s. All six grades are taught together in a one-room schoolhouse at the Princeton Depot. Students will experience outdoor games and simple crafts will be featured in hours of fun in and around the Pioneer School. Plus, depending on the session students will participate in spelling bees or cursive handwriting, square dancing or historical skits, and/or tasting pioneer foods There will be a School Exhibition on Friday for family and friends to attend and enjoy. Students will be showcasing some of the skills they have learned, followed by light refreshments. Bring a packed lunch, water bottle, an 1800s themed show-and-tell item.
