In this class, we trade microscopes for spatulas as we engineer delicious, three-dimensional models of the most important structures on Earth: The Cell. We’ll dive deep into the differences between the creatures of the animal kingdom and the wonders of the plant world. Welcome to the "Green Lab," where biology meets the cutting board! In this class, we’re tracing the incredible journey of energy from the sun all the way to our dinner plates. Students will become part-botanist, part-chef as they explore the "magic" of how plants grow and why they taste so good. We’ll dig into the science of Botany to understand the anatomy of the food we eat. Fall Culinary Crafts with Ms. B: Gr. K-5Youth EnrichmentThis Culinary STEM class is designed for kids to learn some Biology/Chemistry concepts and cooking techniques. We will be making two edible crafts: Edible DNA and Autumn Embers Popcorn. Let's have some fun while we cook, eat, and learn about DNA, Genetics, and Popcorn Chemistry. This is a three-hour course.
