3-Day Horse Camp: Ages 6-15Youth EnrichmentCampers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activities such as daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, grooming and caring for the horses (including bathing), and feeding them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Please note that riding takes about one hour per day in an arena (no trails) and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Campers need to bring a lunch, snacks, and plenty to drink. Drop-off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm each day. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn● No flip flops● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch● Treats for the horses if you want● Helmets are provided WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena. This high-stakes love story includes themes of smoking, drinking, and gambling, and off-stage gunshots will be heard. Overall, the content is lighthearted and comedic, with vibrant music, energetic dance, and entertaining storytelling throughout. One class offers you basic skills in three important subject areas: *First Aid*CPR (infant, child, and adult)*AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Class is great for child care providers as well as any member of the general public who wants to "be prepared." A certified American Red Cross instructor will guide you in skills practice. Come dressed in comfortable clothing. We will be kneeling on the floor to do skills practice with mannequins. Please bring a pen/pencil and notebook to take notes. Beginner Ballet: Ages 9-14Youth RecreationTry ballet for the first time! This 6-week class for ages 9 to 14 will introduce you to basic concepts of ballet such as pile, tendu, adagio, and jumps. A perfect class to help young students decide whether ballet might be the pursuit for them! Beginner Ceramic Workshop: Gr. 4-AdultAdult EnrichmentLearn all about clay while creating a variety of projects using both wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques. Students can anticipate completing up to 10 unique pieces during the course. June students attend Mon./Wed. June 8th and 10th to craft their items. Items need to dry for a week. Then participants return on Sat. June 20th to glaze their items. Instructor will then fire the items and they will be ready for pick-up after June 22th by appointment. July students attend Tue./Thu. Campout Camp: Gr. 4-12Youth EnrichmentDo you enjoy camping? Do you love the outdoors and nature? This is the class for you! Join us for a one-week long campout camp where you will learn the ins and outs of camping and get tips and tricks along the way. Some topics that students will get hands-on experience with are shelters, building fires, cooking over a campfire, canoeing, packing, and traveling. The first day is spent at Princeton High School and the remaining days will be outdoors. The final two days of class will put the skills you learned to the test through a hands-on river paddle and overnight camping trip. There will be both a male and female chaperone on the overnight trip if we have boys and girls enrolled. Free/reduced rates cannot apply on this summer camp.Summer 2026 -
Cat Tree Making Workshop: Volunteer Opportunity: Ages 14-Adult (Ages 10-13 w/Adult)Adult EnrichmentCome learn how to make cat trees for Ruff Start Rescue! We average 500-600 animals per month in rescue, half of them being cats. Having scratchers available for our foster cats is great enrichment and helps prevent boredom or furniture destruction! Ages 14-Adult are welcome to attend independently. Ages 10-13 need to be accompanied by an adult. Please register both the adult and child individually. All cat trees will be used for the rescue. Cheerleading Sideline Skills Clinic: Gr. 7-12Youth RecreationThis clinic offers returning Sideline Cheerleaders, or those entering grades 7-12 who intend to join Sideline Cheer this fall or winter, the chance to improve conditioning, jumps, tumbling, and stunting. This is an intensive clinic run by coaches exclusively for these skills. Completion of this clinic does not guarantee placement on a Varsity Cheer Team, but the skills learned and worked on will be relevant to evaluations for team placement during the fall season. Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS): Age 11+Youth EnrichmentThe Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from the American Safety and Health Institute provides everything you need to know for safe and successful babysitting. At the end of class, the students will receive their certification card along with instructions to access a digital copy of the Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Student book. From getting started with your business to collaborating with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips, CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete achievement of the core learning objectives to receive certification valid for two years. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen.Summer 2026
