A certified American Red Cross instructor will guide you in skills practice. Come dressed in comfortable clothing. We will be kneeling on the floor to do skills practice with mannequins. BMX Bike Racing: Pre-K to AdultYouth RecreationLearn the Sport of BMX Bike Racing! Rum River BMX is the #1 indoor facility in the country. Unlike traditional sports, in BMX, no one sits on the bench! BMX riding is a great way for kids and adults to stay active, build confidence, develop important life skills, connect with others, and have fun. This session will cover BMX fundamentals including “What is BMX racing?” racing bike types, BMX terminology, and BMX safety. Also, the most important lesson, how to RIDE LIKE THE WIND! Students will receive hands-on riding instructions and will practice their new skills on the BMX track. This course is designed for new riders (novice) who are interested in the sport. If you can pedal your bike without training wheels, you can take part in this class. No special bikes are required, if it has wheels, a few adjustments and we will make it work for this class (your bike will need to have the reflectors, kickstand, chain guard, and pegs removed). If you do not have a bike, we have a fleet of HARO race bikes available at the track for use on a first come, first served basis. A full-face helmet is recommended, as helmets are required. You must wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and close-toed shoes. Check-in is from 5:30 to 6:00pm and class is from 6:00 to 7:45pm.Winter/Spring 2026 -

Horse Day Camp: Ages 6-15Youth EnrichmentKids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! Drop off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn ● No flip flops ● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch ● Treats for the horses if you want ● Helmets are provided WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena. Indoor Walking in the Schools: All AgesAdult RecreationWalking in the schools is back! Come and enjoy time inside on those blustery winter days or rainy spring days. Get your miles in during our scheduled walking times at Princeton High School or Princeton Middle School. Open to all ages and abilities. Please be courteous of others in the building and custodians who are working. Participants must register and pick up their pass from the Princeton Community Ed office between the hours of 8am-3:30pm, M-F. The office is located at 706 1st Street, Princeton, MN 55371. Park in the lot off of 1st Street and enter door 1. School maps will also be available at pickup. Walking is not available on weekends or on 11/27-11/29, 12/24-12/25, 12/31-1/1, 1/20, 2/17. Middle School Early Risers: Gr. 6-8Youth EnrichmentWhat is the Early Risers Program? The Princeton Middle School Early Risers Program provides supervised structured time from 7:00-8:15am for students needing a positive head start to their day. Students attending Early Risers will be provided an opportunity to eat breakfast, work on school assignments, read, organize and plan their daily schedule, or exercise/move prior to their school day. Who Would Benefit from the Early Risers Program? Students may need additional time before school for a variety of reasons. My Little Horse Camp: Ages 2-5Youth EnrichmentCampers will get to ride a real horse in an arena, meet a number of different horses at Boulder Pointe, and learn how to groom the horses . . . all with a focus on safety! In addition, students will do an art project and have an opportunity to make horse treats to feed their new friends. Stations are split into 15-minute intervals to keep everyone engaged. Parents have the opportunity to lead their child on the horse and take photographs as they go. PARENT/GUARDIAN: This 2-hour camp is designed for parent/guardian participation. Parent/Guardian is expected to remain with their child during the entire duration of the camp. WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine as we have an indoor barn and arena. Join Kirsten live online to move beyond the basic Caprese Skewers into a world of color, flavor, and possibilities. Kirsten will share the 3 Rules of Skewering and demonstrate multiple methods to pleasingly present your offerings. From vegan to omnivore there are recipes for everyone. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can cook along at your convenience. Starting SoonOpen Swim: All AgesAquaticsLooking for a fun family activity? Come join us for Open Swim! American Red Cross certified lifeguards supervise each session. Fun equipment is available to use such as noodles, lifejackets, and diving rings! Deep water swimmers must demonstrate their swimming skills before entering the deep end of the water with a water competency test (jump in deep end, tread water 1 minute, 25-yard swim). Children 8 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Note: You (and anyone else attending with you) must register online to agree to the waiver form and so we know how many will be in attendance each session. Then you pay $5/person at the door, cash only. Open Swim may automatically be cancelled that day if we do not have any online registrations by 10 a.m. the morning of Open Swim.Winter/Spring 2026 -
