Weeklong Horse Day Camp: Ages 6-15Youth EnrichmentCampers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activities such as; daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses (including bathing) and care for them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. At the end of the week, parents and family are invited to a performance to see what their camper has been learning! Please note that riding takes up about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consists of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn● No flip flops● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray● Water bottle and plenty to drink● Snacks and a lunch● Treats for the horses if you want● Helmets are provided WEATHER: Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena. Please note: this class cannot be refunded or credited after registration. Drop-off is at 9am and pickup is 3pm each day Monday through Friday. Parents are not allowed to stay for the day. However, there is a “show” for the parents on Friday at 1:30pm! This is a great time to take pictures, watch your child ride and meet their horse they worked during the week. Learn about estates and wills while preparing your own legal will during class. You will receive all of the tools needed to complete this important document, including instructions, a professionally prepared form, witnesses, and a notary public. This class is tailored to people who have an estate of less than $3 million and do not own a business. Spouses must register separately. You can bring your own laptop or use our computers. You & Me Cake Decorating: Age 5+ with AdultYouth EnrichmentGet creative as you and your child learn the sweet art of cake decorating together! In this fun hands-on class, you’ll receive a 6" two-layer cake, and learn decorating techniques to make your cake sweet perfection. This class is great for any special grown-up and their little baker. If you would like a second cake so you don't have to share, select that choice during registration for an additional $20. Parents learn about their baby's emotional, social and physical development through discussions focused on the interests of the group. Parents and infants do not separate in this class.
